Donate to MAYF's projects: help make lasting changes to rural Nigeria
Formed in 2002, Mgbala Agwa Youths Forum is a ground-breaking community-based organization as we are the first of its kind in Nigeria to function as a resource centre for in-depth research into the history, prevention, control and management of HIV/AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Diseases. In 2004, we formed as an integral part of the Centre of HIV/AIDS and STD Research (CHISTRE) to both educate and conquer HIV/AIDS in Nigeria.
According to a UNAIDS report, Nigeria will be one of 5 countries worst affected by the scourge of HIV/AIDS. As a result, our main focus is on HIV/AIDS, but our other focuses include sexual transmitted infections, environmental protection, youth empowerment, and poverty alleviation; particularly areas in much need of rural development. At present, we currently operate in Mgbala Agwa, which is a rural community in Imo State, Nigeria.
We would love for you to find out more about our programs, news, events, and perhaps even help to volunteer to assist these communities and youths whom most desperately need your help. We also welcome monetary donations to help continue on with our work.
